PROPAGANDA

To me what is happening in the media is PROPAGANDA!

First we hear about an Islamic center near ground zero. Now we are hearing about a "pastor" in Florida wants to burn the Quran on September 11th. To me this is PROPAGANDA being stirred up.

People have burned the flag and yelled "Death to America" for a while now...... where has this Pastor been?!?

I believe these two scenario's are breeding hate and division which in turn give way to "certain peoples agendas".

I went on Dove World Outreach's website (http://www.doveworld.org) and read an interesting "Ten Reasons to Burn a Koran".... What about burning a Satanic Bible. I think we shouldn't single out the Quran..... This would be bad. We should include the Satanic Bible and perhaps the millions of other literature that isn't "Jesusfied".

COME ON PEOPLE! What else is NOT of the DEVIL in this world!?!?

If Christians thought it was "okay" to just burn things because they thought it was "of the Devil" - I believe this wouldn't be CHRISTIANITY! Helllloooooo!

The only place where I see "book burning" in the New Testament would be in Acts 19- There were men who were "adjuring by Jesus whom Paul preaches" and an evil spirit leaped on these men and they ran out naked. When this happened "fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified" (v. 17) and many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds (v. 18) Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all [men]: and they counted the price of them, and found [it] fifty thousand [pieces] of silver (v. 19).
VERSE 20 - So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed

So these people were GIVING UP what they professed before and brought their books together to burn them. They believed, confessed and showed their deeds. They were burning something they practiced before and wasn't of God in their OWN life.

  1. I do think that the burning is going too far. I would prefer that Christians not be known for burning books of any kind. I just don't like the idea of book burning in general. But it does remain that he has every right to burn his own property if he so chooses.
